Harahan Christian Church was founded in Harahan by the late Pastor Marion "Sugar" Lauricella in the mid 1960s.  Pastor Sugar was the acting minister of the Harahan Christian Church up until the day he died and has left a mission and direction behind for the new generation to follow. 

His efforts in the church and throughout the world are still what the church is all about.  Pastor David who is the grandson of the late pastor and his congregation are very aware of what the late Reverand stood for and they fully intend to honor both he and God in their future endeavors.

Pastor David has boldly taken up the post of the full time Pastor and has not missed a beat.  He has already spear headed relief efforts in the local community with helping local food banks and has helped orchestrate the shipping of supplies to countries such as Japan after the terrible earthquake and following tsunami. 

His efforts currently are as his grandfathers were, to continue furthering the gospel message of Jesus Christ by both proclaiming the message and also by tending to the needs of those who are less fortunate.
